Metal Female Voices Fest report...

Hellooo ^^

So, as you all probably know by now as I told it a 1000000 times already ;p.
Sunday 18 October I went to the MFVF festival in Wieze, Belgium.
It was an absolutely amazing day/night with many great bands, cool merchandise and of course fun with meeting new people.

When Eefje and I came in at about 12.30/13.00 the band Lahannya was playing, whom we also saw at the Elf Fantasy Fair.

They were much much better than back at the EFF, thanks to the fact that the lovely people of MFVF DID know how to manage the sound properly...*credits*

So we watched them for a bit and walked around, then got ourselves some beer.

Which I didn't finish cause it was the most disgusting beer i'd ever had XD.

Then we put our coats and stuff in the wardrobe and went outside cause Eefje had to smoke...friggin' addicts ;p.

There I met some people from the official dutch fansite for Tarja Turunen and chatted with them for a while.

Later on we saw bands such as:

Deadlock

Stream of Passion

After that Eefje and I took another short break and went to sit outside for a bit, when we sat against the fence I suddenly felt something in my back and it turned out to be this supercute dog!

Then we went back in and watched:

Leaves' Eyes (who played a wonderful acoustic set)

And then it was time for none other than....*drummrolls*

      Doro Pesch!!!!!

She was absolutely amazing!!!

She's been in the bizz for 25 years and still rocking as hard as ever.

I absolutely love her raw, edgy yet elegant voice, she's so unique.

She also did the duet 'Walking with the Angels' with Tarja Turunen and they were amazing together.

after that she did a song with Liv from Leaves' eyes and Floor Jansen (ex-After Forever).

And then of course the mega super awesome one 'The Night of the Warlock' with a huge scary head on the background.

After that came a short break in which I pushed myself as far forward as I could, and suddenly found myself in the very front row in the middle, standing next to my friend Eline...talking about coincidence ;p.

It was her first time seeing Tarja so she was all nervous, so I comforted her by telling her that no matter how many times you see Tarja perform, the nervousness is always there ;p, don't know if that really helped but still ;p.

So after a long long LONG time of waiting, drinking redbull and pushing aside irritating french people who were poking me in the side, the band finally came on stage.

And a little later Tarja came on too...

She started off with 'Enough', 'Lost Northern Star' and 'My little Phoenix'

Then during her long dress change came the standard gigantic-masterly-inhuman-insane drummsolo of the GOD of drumms:

Then I nearly cried my eyes out when she did 'Oasis' which is my favorite balad of 'My WinterStorm'

Then suddenly the music stopped and Tarja was like... "Okay I just was about to sing when someone started talking in my ear..."(all with a big smile) , and suddenly people came on.

Announcing that Tarja had won the award for Best and most Beautiful voice!!!

She was totally surprised and thanked us all for voting (I voted about 80 times I think...) and she was just like, Oh my god, I won this??.

It was THE most adorable thing EVER!!!, I melted on the spot ;p.

After she recieved that they played 'Deep Silent Complete' but Tarja was still so flabbergasped that she forgot the words and was like 'Help me out here guys!', which was too cute for words =).

After that came a few more songs, including 'Die Alive' and 'Poison' and then, SADLY, it was time to say goodbye-bye to our dear Tarja and her awesome band.

Though they did leave the stage with the best bow possible:

After that Eefje and I went to spend our last consuption coins and got a cola and some water.

We sat down for a bit still trying to recover from the 4 hours of standing in a crazy-ass crowd when we found out we had to pee like mad, but were out of money o__O (toilet cost 0.40 euros)

Thankfully there was this really nice guy sitting next to us who offered to pay for us, thank you nice guy from whereever you're from!.

After that we packed up our things and walked into my parents, turns out they had been standing there already for the entire concert of Tarja because the guards let them in because of the cold!!!

So, after putting on our coats and walking to the car with pain in our feet we hopped in and drove home to Den Bosch again.

We came home at about 2.00 a.m which was really great *hu uhm* cause we both had to get up at 6.30 again...

Anyway, all in all it was a really awesome day that I will never forget in all my life.

And i'll definately be going next year too!

Now I hope I can handle my addiction for Tarja Turunen a little ;p, cause the next time i'll see her will probably take a LONG time *cries* ='( .

This was the second time I saw her within a month ;p (19 September: Elf Fantasy Fair, 18 Oktober: MFVF)

Well, I think now is a good time to start on the homework of tomorrow (and today, and yesterday...XD)

since I do not want to spend my Friday afternoon in detention.

WHICH, by the way, hasn't happened yet this year, good of me huh?? ;p
